Genesis Medical Interventional, Inc. (Genesis) was founded in the fall of 2003 and is committed to advancing cardiovascular healthcare by designing safe, easy-to-use products to treat occlusive vascular diseases. We believe our devices will give interventional physicians a better tool with which to improve patient care and quality of life when used during percutaneous interventional procedures.
Genesis' Funnel Catheter™ system (also known as F.A.S.T.™) is targeted at both coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. In addition, as important efforts toward community education regarding ischemic stroke increase, Genesis predicts our novel Funnel Catheter™ technology will also prove a breakthrough therapy toward this increasingly widespread problem. The company estimates more than 4 million procedures in 2006 alone may have use for this promising new technology.
Genesis' technology is backed by more than 20 issued and pending patents. The company's management team is expert at Rapid Product Development and has experience building successful companies from the ground up. Our Medical Advisory Board is made up of world class interventional cardiologists and radiologists.
The F.A.S.T.™ Catheter has been cleared by the FDA via 510(k) marketing clearance and has a proven track record with over 100 peripheral and coronary clinical cases completed with excellent results. Genesis will begin distribution of the product in the US in 2006 and is currently working toward CE mark for European commercialization.
