Genesis Medical Interventional Exhibits at
TCT Symposium 2008 Emerging Technologies

Redwood City, CA -- October 2008
Genesis Medical Interventional, Inc. (GMI) has been selected to exhibit in the Emerging Technologies area of this year's Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics Symposium (TCT) October 14-16th in Washington, D.C.

TCT representatives have just announced that the PREPARE trial results will be presented in the Late Breaking Trials at noon in the Main Arena on Wednesday, October 15th.  The PREPARE trial is an Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) trial using Proximal Occlusion as embolic protection during stenting. Will Dubrul, Chairman and CEO of GMI said, "Several randomized trials using distal embolic protection have failed to show any advantage during AMI intervention, but this is the first randomized trial using Proximal Occlusion and we are cautiously optimistic and excited to see the data. The PREPARE trial will put Proximal Occlusion Embolic Protection and Genesis on the map."

Additionally, GMI announced that Mr. Dubrul will make a presentation at the upcoming Medtech Insight Investment In Innovation (In3) East on Thursday, October 23, 2008.  The In3 Conference will be held at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, MA.

"The Medtech presentation comes at an exiting time for Genesis," said Dubrul.  "This year we finalized a rewarding licensing agreement with Micrus Endovascular (MEND) for use of our F.A.S.T. Funnel Catheter™ technology for the treatment of Stroke, a significant disease and market. This relationship has proved to be more than fruitful for us with accompanying milestone payments coupled with the validation of our efforts of removing dangerous emboli from the patient."

About the F.A.S.T Funnel Catheter System
The Genesis F.A.S.T. Funnel Catheter System is a line of innovative medical devices comprised of a funnel deployed at the distal end of the catheter through which a physician can deploy a proprietary clot retrieval system with an umbrella or parachute-like device. This novel design harnesses a patient's blood pressure to provide the sealing force for occlusion. Clots and other debris are removed and the device is then collapsed and removed from the patient.
