William (Will) R. Dubrul, Founder, Director, President & CEO Mr. Dubrul has over 25 years of experience in leading development of medical device products and businesses. The focus of his medical device experience has been with five 'start-up' technology companies. He has been credited with more than 45 medical device patents. Importantly, many of these breakthrough technologies became market leaders and standard of care in their fields in the areas of General Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His medical device company experience includes executive management as well as product development and marketing positions at American Hospital Supply Corp., Hall Surgical, McGhan Medical, InnerDyne Inc., Genesis Medical, MPC, Artemis Medical, Inc. and consulting to several major medical device firms. Mr. Dubrul holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Andrei M. Manoliu, Ph.D., J.D., Founder & Director Dr. Manoliu is a consummate entrepreneur and serves as Director of several public and private companies. From 1982 through March 2000, he was an attorney with Cooley Godward LLP, most recently as senior partner. During his tenure at Cooley Godward LLP, Dr. Manoliu served as outside counsel to numerous medical device and high technology companies advising on complex financing and strategic transactions. He received a Ph.D. in solid-state physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Anne Worden, VP of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Ms. Worden has a vast array of experience in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. Prior joining Genesis in December, 2003, Ms. Worden was Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Lumenis, Inc. and NeuColl. Ms. Worden has also held senior regulatory positions in Coherent, Nycomed Salutar, Syva Company and parent Syntex (now Roche). Ms. Worden has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology from U.C. Davis and a Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
Brent Seybold, Director of Product Development Mr. Seybold joined Genesis shortly after funding and establishment of the company in late 2003. He has assembled an exceptional team of engineers, technicians and outside consultants, enabling GMI to rapidly produce innovative products. Prior to joining GMI, he spent 11 years engineering products and processes. Nine of those years were specifically dedicated to catheter based technology. Mr. Seybold holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
Jennifer Strezo, Business Operations Manager Ms. Strezo also joined Genesis in early 2004. She brings 18 years of operations and business management experience in resource challenged start-up and small business environments. As the only non-technical member of our small team, Jenny's responsibilities are many and varied. She enables the rest of the team to focus on the technology. Ms. Strezo holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
